DESCRIPTION

This exquisite men’s watch is presented in a 40 mm diameter case fashioned in red gold. A slender bezel lends this mechanical masterpiece its timeless elegance; the polished and satin-brushed surfaces of the case reflect the light and are harmoniously attuned to each other. Alternatively, this noble timepiece is also available with a brown Louisiana Alligator nubuck leather strap.

Flying Tourbillon
Glashutte master watchmaker Alfred Helwig is still known today for his ingenious development from the year 1920: the Flying Tourbillon. In contrast to classic tourbillons mounted on both sides, Helwig’s delicate construction is cantilevered (mounted on one side only). In an open carriage the balance and escapement rotate on their own axis once a minute, so that it seems to fly within its so-called cage. The blued-steel tip on the tourbillon cage serves as the second hand.
Harmonious arrangement
The PanoLunarTourbillon impresses thanks to the asymmetric layout of its dial: the hour and minute display and the Flying Tourbillon are positioned on a vertical axis within the left half of the dial. The Panorama Date and moon phase are located on the right side, which results in a harmonious overall appearance. The hand-crafted dial shimmers in a warm silver hue and has hour and minute hands in gold as well as gold-plated applied hour indexes.
Characteristic features
The PanoLunarTourbillon is powered by the automatic movement Calibre 93-12, which has a 48-hour power reserve. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the beauty of Glashutte watchmaking such as Glashutte stripe and sunray finishes, blued screws, bevelled and polished edges. The skeletonized rotor, positioned off-centre, has an oscillating mass in 21 carat gold, a refined Glashutte stripe finish and the manufacture’s signature Double-G logo.
