Optimal legibility
With traditional regulators, the hands were arranged on different axes of the dial in order to make it easier to read the time: the minute hand dominates as the single central hand indicating the minutes, while the other hands turn in off-centre areas of the dial. On the finely grained dial, a galvanic black railroad chapter ring sets the pace for the minutes, and Roman numerals underscore the movement of the hour hand. The small seconds, Panorama Date and the running time display fit perfectly into the overall appearance.
Jumping date
A so-called “jumping date mechanism” guarantees a timely date change at midnight. To make it easier to set the exact time in relation to the date change, the movement has been fitted with a day/night indicator. From 6 in the morning until 6 in the evening, the small circle in the region of the hour display is white; from 6 pm until 6 am it is black.
Certified precision
The highly refined manual winding Calibre 58-04 is equipped with a second-stop mechanism with an innovative minute detent, which permits the precise coordination of minute and seconds hands when setting the time. This exquisite timepiece is officially certified as a chronometer and bears a certificate from the German Calibration Service (DKD).
