The silver-coloured moon phase and the signature Panorama Date with white numerals on a blue ground are crafted in-house and represent two complications that are characteristic of Glashutte Original. Indexes in white gold, along with hour and minute hands that take up the same hue, complete the harmonious overall appearance.

Watchmaking is full of tradition, and the moon phase is one of the richest of the art’s complications. The complex display has always been a challenge for precision engineers and watchmakers. The mechanism is designed in such a way that it can represent the moon’s course accurately – with no need for manual correction – for the next 122 years. The moon disc and razor-thin dial are crafted in-house, largely by hand.
