The stainless steel case of this observation watch has a diameter of 44 mm and features perfectly polished and satin-brushed surfaces. This elegant watch for men comes with a choice of a black calfskin strap, a black Louisiana alligator leather strap, or a stainless steel bracelet with fine adjustment mechanism. The elaborate decorative finishing of the movement can be easily admired through the sapphire crystal case back.

Essential and precise
For a long time, observation watches served as essential navigational instruments for captains, pilots and explorers. In combination with highly precise marine chronometers, these portable “deck watches” were used to determine the exact position of a ship on the high seas or an expedition team on land.
Grey-grained dial
The grey-grained dial has three different layers of lacquer. Pear-shaped hands in white gold trace their path around the dial, indicating the time. Two additional white gold hands appear on the power reserve and small seconds displays. The profiles of both auxiliary dials are milled, which lends them additional depth. Glashutte Original’s signature Panorama Date completes the design in a harmonious fashion.
Refined automatic movement
The Senator Observer is equipped with the Calibre 100-14, an automatic movement with refined decorative finishes and traditional features of Glashutte watchmaking including Glashutte stripe finish, divided three-quarter plate, polished steel components and beveled edges. Although traditional observation watches were generally powered by manual winding movements, this men’s watch is fitted for maximum wearer comfort with a state-of-the-art automatic movement.
