Tradition and innovation: to ensure that the special edition of Ludwig for the 375th anniversary of the Peace of Westphalia truly links history with the present, one of the four models is equipped with an automatic caliber. The fact that progress comes about through movement is indeed a peace-promoting insight-and the exclusive traditional features of the classic watch look ever so elegant on an automatic watch. High-precision mechanics of protected origin throughout Europe-a testament to time from Glashutte, created in cooperation with the jewelers Freisfeld and Oeding-Erdel in Munster and Osnabruck.
The first NOMOS automatic caliber and the one with which NOMOS Glashutte launched its in-house caliber production in 2005. Since then, it has been ticking with outstanding winding accuracy-and now with our NOMOS swing system too, which is to say: with independence at its heart.
