After hundreds of drafts, the designer finally decided to focus on the giant panda, which is not only an endemic species of China, but also a national treasure. The animal has survived on Earth for 8 million years and is known as a living fossil, which also reflects China’s long history.
In addition to depicting three pandas, the designer also added green bamboo forests to make the national treasure more vivid.
Daytona’s classic chronograph counters have also been replaced with green, representing the bamboo forest, which better suits the scene on the dial. So are the numerals on the bezel.
The exquisite panda pattern on the dial is even more vivid with a sapphire case. This China Edition is limited to 5 pieces worldwide.
