Snow-covered peaks jutting into the sky, clear mountain lakes and imposing glaciers – we find their tranquillity and power fascinating. With this Sixties model the designers at Glashutte Original have captured the mood and the icy colours of the alpine mountains. The signature features of Sixties design – the round forms and characteristic Arabic numerals – develop their own unique charm against a glacier-blue ground.

Cool stainless steel
The 39 mm stainless steel case of this mechanical watch is polished to a high gloss and is ultra-slim. Its sapphire crystal case back offers optimal views of the automatic movement and contributes to the wearer’s comfort: thanks to its special shape the watch fits snugly around the wrist. A grey-brown strap in nubuck calfskin with lightly contrasting stitching rounds off the vintage look and ensures a secure fit.
Glacier blue dial
This model’s elaborately crafted dial is what makes it so special. Before it receives its characteristic domed shape, it is given a delicate sunray finish. To achieve the striking d??grad?? effect, it is then sprayed with dark blue paint, so that a dark band appears at the edge. The entire surface of the dial is then coated with glacier-blue lacquer. The incised indexes, printed numerals and Super-LumiNova luminous dots at each hour marker complete this little work of art.
Typical Glashutte features
This retro-modern timepiece with automatic winding is powered by a 39-52 manufactory movement and has a 40-hour power reserve. Characteristic features of Glashutte watchmaking such as beveled edges, polished steel parts, swan-neck fine adjustment, and Glashutte three-quarter plate with Glashutte stripe finish are presented here once again, along with a skeletonized rotor with 21-carat gold oscillating mass.
