Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse
With the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse, IWC Schaffhausen pays tribute to the Swiss Air Force aerobatic team of the same name. Founded in 1964, the Patrouille Suisse aims to demonstrate the performance, precision and operational readiness of the Swiss Air Force both at home and abroad. Its characteristic red-white F-5 E Tiger aircraft are flown by pilots from the professional flying corps. Formation flying is pure manual work that requires precision and technical perfection-qualities that are also essential in watchmaking. Limited to 250 pieces only, the Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse is the fifth special edition that IWC Schaffhausen has created in honor of the Patrouille Suisse-and the first to feature a titanium case. With the highest strength to density ratio of any metal, titanium is exceptionally robust and weighs about one third less than steel. The 40-millimeter titanium case has a sand-blasted, matte grey finish. The case back, also made of titanium, is adorned with a special engraving. In addition to showing three aircraft in formation flight, it also states “Tribute to Patrouille Suisse” as well as the individual limitation number. The titanium case is complemented by a grey dial and black hands with luminescence. This special edition is powered by the IWC-manufactured 32111 caliber, an automatic movement featuring a power reserve of 120 hours. It is fitted with a black textile strap with a titanium pin buckle, both featuring EasX-Change.

About IWC
IWC Schaffhausen, short for the International Watch Company, is a luxury Swiss watch manufacturer located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. Founded in 1868 by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones, IWC is renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship, innovative engineering, and timeless designs. The brand has several iconic collections, each with its unique characteristics and history. Here's an introduction to some of the most notable collections from IWC: Pilot's Watches: Inspired by aviation, the Pilot's Watches collection is perhaps the most recognizable and emblematic of the IWC brand. These watches are known for their robustness, legibility, and precision. The collection includes a range of models, from the classic Mark series to the sophisticated Big Pilot's Watches and the historical-inspired Spitfire series. Portugieser: The Portugieser collection is distinguished by its precision, complexity, and elegant designs. Originating in the 1930s when two Portuguese businessmen commissioned IWC to create large, precise wristwatches, the Portugieser has become a hallmark of sophisticated watchmaking. This collection features a variety of complications, including chronographs, perpetual calendars, and tourbillons. Portofino: Named after the Italian Riviera town known for its luxury and charm, the Portofino collection embodies understated elegance and timeless style. These watches are characterized by their simple, classic design, making them perfect for both casual and formal occasions. The collection includes hand-wound models, automatic watches, and those with moon phase complications. Da Vinci: The Da Vinci collection is a tribute to the Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci, reflecting innovation and creativity in watchmaking. This collection is known for its distinctive case shapes, ranging from round to tonneau, and its complex features like perpetual calendars, chronographs, and tourbillon mechanisms. Aquatimer: The Aquatimer collection is IWC's line of diver's watches, designed to meet the demands of underwater exploration. These watches are noted for their robustness, water resistance, and innovative features like the SafeDive system for tracking dive time. The collection caters to professional divers and watch enthusiasts alike. Ingenieur: Originally designed in the 1950s for scientists and engineers, the Ingenieur collection boasts anti-magnetic properties and a robust design. Over the years, it has evolved to include a range of models featuring sporty yet elegant designs, with some models showcasing advanced materials like titanium and ceramic. Each IWC collection offers a distinct blend of tradition, innovation, and craftsmanship, catering to various tastes and requirements. Whether you're drawn to the technical sophistication of the Portugieser, the elegant simplicity of the Portofino, or the adventurous spirit of the Aquatimer, IWC has a timepiece that reflects both the heritage of fine Swiss watchmaking and the individual wearer's style.
